Off-Campus Access to Library Resources

CSI Library electronic resources are available off-campus via the library proxy.
To gain access, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the library homepage: www.library.csi.cuny.edu
  2. Click on the Article and Reference Databases link

This takes you to the Alphabetical List of Databases page.
     3.  Select a database you would like to search, for example, Academic Search Premier.

This takes you to the Library's Proxy Server page.
     4.  Enter your library barcode number found on the back of your ID card. If you don't have a sticker,           obtain one at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of the library.
     5.  Click on the Submit button.

Clicking on the Submit button takes you to the selected database: Academic Search Premier.

 6.  Enter a key word or a term referring to the topic of the articles you want to retrieve. You may enter          two or three search terms if necessary. For example, if your research topic is about the use of          educational technology in elementary schools, you may enter educational technology in one line,
and elementary schools in the 2 line.
    7. Click on the Search button.

If you are not happy with the search results, try using different terms or search another database. Call the library Reference Desk at 718-982-4010 if you need assitance.
