This workshop is designed to
increase awareness about abusive relationships. You will learn
how the different types of abuse are defined, how to recognize the
patterns and behaviors that characterize abusive relationships and what
you can
do if you or someone you care about is experiencing abuse.

workshop will focus on introducing students to several different
relaxation
techniques and discussing how relaxation can be vital part of one’s
daily
routine. The workshop will explore what
students do to relax on an everyday basis and whether it makes a
difference in
their lives. The benefits of relaxation
will be addressed. Students will be
taught breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises they can use at
times of
stress.

effectively. Learning to be assertive
can reduce anxiety in social situations, decrease the likelihood that
you will
be taken advantage of, and contributed to a general sense of well-being. We will discuss the ABCs of assertiveness and
apply them to common situations
