Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work

The sociological imagination enables us to grasp history and biography and the relations between the two within society. That is its task and its promise.

The department offers a combined Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology-Anthropology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.



A minor is offered in Sociology.



The department also participates in interdisciplinary major/minors in Disability Studies, Liberal Studies (MA), Science, Letters, and Society, and Women’s Studies.
