Artist's Statement:

My recent paintings are geometric and, indeed, are limited to horizontals and verticals. Nevertheless, these canvases are not based on a grid or on any other preconceived mathematical scheme. The color-space relationships, upon whose precision the paintings stand or fall, are, finally, arrived at intuitively. This does not mean that the paintings are mystical; I reject any such interpretation.
