Elona Migirov (Class Piano, Staff Accompanist) was born in Russia, where she earned a teaching certificate in music theory, music history, and piano performance. In 2006 she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the College of Staten Island, CUNY, where she was on the Dean's List and the recipient of the CSI Foundation Award for Academic Excellence in Music. She is currently a Masters' candidate in Music Theory at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, CUNY, where she serves as a theory and harmony tutor in the school's graduate program. Ms. Migirov has performed extensively as a collaborative pianist with community concerts, musical theater, choruses, and orchestras in her native Russia and throughout the New York area, including the Richmond County Orchestra. She currently serves as organist of the Huguenot Reformed Church, Staten Island. Elona Migirov joined the faculty of the College of Staten Island in 2007 and continues to teach piano privately.
