Justin Keller (Jazz History, Music History, Saxophone) has busied himself the last several years as a versatile performer with many New York and European musicians including Michael Cain, Pheeroan Aklaff and Jesse Stacken. Other artists he has performed with include Bob Florence, Steve Houghton, Matt Harris, Tom Kubis, Shelly Berg, Rick Baptist, Sal Lozano, Tom Rainier, Jiggs Whigham, Gregg Field, Wayne Bergeron, Alex Iles, Gunther Schuler, Gunther Schuler, Maria Schneider, Ricky Ford, Andy McGee, Herb Pomeroy and George Russell. He has been seen and heard throughout North America and Europe. His formal teachers include Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Allen Chase, and John McNeil. His current projects range from rock bands to freely improvising ensembles. Mr. Keller earned his MM in Jazz Performance from The New England Conservatory and his BA in Saxophone Performance from Whitworth University. Besides teaching at CSI, he has a private studio of students and teaches jazz history at Hunter College.
