O I R A   M i s s i o n

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment strives to support a "culture of evidence" at the College, where the processes of evaluation, planning and change are supported by valid and reliable information.

 
O I R A   G o a l s

To achieve its mission, OIRA has the following goals:
  • Produce institutional statistics and analysis to disseminate and communicate to the campus community, state and federal agencies, accrediting agencies, national publications, non-profit associations, the campus community, and other organizations

  • Conduct descriptive and inferential analysis and research using College, University and national data, and provide analyses for use by campus-level units

  • Consult with College units, in association with the Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness, on assessment and evaluation activities including methodology and best practices; assist with activities such as survey design and implementation, statistical analysis of data, and report preparation; and maintain repositories of assessment resources and assessment data

  • Represent the College on assessment and institutional research forums, councils, and at other events and functions
