What is the Biology Learning Center?

It is a resource FOR students taking biology classes, staffed BY students

The Center has computers available and CD-roms such as ADAM,
and those that come with the biology textbooks used in our biology classes.

The Center also has models of biological structures
(that's a plant pistil and stamen above that student's head!)

Student tutors are on hand to help you with any questions.

There are also microscopes and slides available.
Don't remember what mitosis looks like?
Here's your chance to review (large scale models are on the ledge, too).

Videotapes of professors' old lectures are kept here
(Check out the really old ones to see profs smoking while lecturing,
and the latest to learn just why that was a bad idea)

Anatomy models are available for study (the one in the middle has to stay in the Center)

Sometimes people can't decide whether they're Stanley: "Dr. Livingston, I presume."
or Hamlet  - "Alas poor Yorick, I knew him well.  We took Bio 150 together"

"You'd better put that slide back right where you found it,"  says Madame le Directeur, with a smile.

Come in and see how we can help you!
