Metamorphic rocks are classified on the basis of  their texture. There are two classses - foliated or non-foliated. The foliated rocks exhibit a layering or foliation - a parallel alignment of inequidimensional mineral grains.

Determine the texture of the rock:

foliated  - rock is layered.

the rock is not layered.
