HOME INSPECTION & APPRAISAL
HOME INSPECTION LICENSING IN NEW YORK STATE
The Home Inspection Licensing Program consists of 4 classroom Modules (Modules 1, 2, 3, and 4) and Field Module (Module 5), under the direct supervision of a licensed Home Inspector/Inspection Instructor. Module 1 topics include the Homes Structure, Additional Structures, Exterior and Roof; Module 2 topics include the interior of the home, Insulation, the Interior Structure, Windows, Doors, Basement, and Electrical Systems; Module 3 topics include Heating (type of heat, source of heat, fuel and delivery type) Cooling- Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Waste and Septic Systems; Module 4 topics include Report Writing, NYS Licensing Law, Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice. After each 25 hour Module, we will present a 50 question multiple choice exam. 90% attendance is mandatory for each Module. There is a 1 time $60.00 Material fee (cash or check) paid on class 1 to instructor supplying the materials/manual to the class. This program is presented in conjunction with Bill Merrell of the Appraisal Education Network School. Module 5 will be discussed in class, and run by the Instructor, for those who wish the 40 hours of field experience.

INTRODUCTION TO INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY FOR HOME INSPECTORS
7 hour NY State Home Inspector CEU
This is an introductory class for those who wish to learn about the uses of an Infrared Camera as part of a Complete Home Inspection for homes in New York State. This class will be clinical and actually present and use an Infrared Camera as part of the Class. We will hand out all materials in conjunction with this class. This course is offered in conjunction with Bill Merrell of the Appraisal Education Network School.

MOLD SEMINAR FOR REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS
4 hours for both NY State Home Inspector & NY State Home Appraiser CEU
This is a class to describe the process of Mold sampling and how Mold is tested in a laboratory. We also discuss the way and where mold is found, the different types of mold and the potential consequences of mold in a residential home.
This course is offered in conjunction with Bill Merrell of the Appraisal Education Network School.
