GENERAL INFORMATION

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ADMISSIONS TEST
Certain programs (as noted in this catalog) require a passing score on the Workforce Development Admissions Test prior to registration. This test will take approximately 15 minutes. In special cases the test may be waived. For further information please call 718.982.2182.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER
The College reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather or at the discretion of the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development. Call 718.982.2182 for class make-up information. For snow day information, call Security at 1.718.982.2116.

TEXTBOOKS
Unless otherwise specified, textbooks are not included in course tuition. All required texts may be purchased at the bookstore in the Campus Center (Building 1C). Call 1.718.982.2182 to learn if a text is necessary for your class. For Barnes & Noble College Bookstore hours, call 718.982.3030.

ID CARDS
All students attending classes for more than one night must obtain a student ID. Please request a letter from our office to take to Campus Safety, Building 2A, Room 108. Call 718.982.2116.

PARKING
Continuing Education classes that are more than five sessions in succession require a parking decal, available for a fee in Building 1A, Room 102. Call 718.982.2294.

CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

Each Continuing Education course requires a minimum number of paid registrations. Please register early to ensure your place in class and reduce the possibility of course cancellation. Due to the special requirements of some programs and the limited availability
of space, some courses may be scheduled in locations other that the main CSI campus. The College of Staten Island and the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development will make
every effort to ensure that all classes will be given as listed in this catalog; however, unforeseen circumstances may occur. The College and the Office of Continuing Education and Professional
Development, at their discretion, reserve the right to make changes in procedures, program fees, class days, times, and locations, or
cancel classes due to insufficient registration. The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development shall make every reasonable effort to notify all registered students of any changes prior to the first session. Should changes or a cancellation occur, a full refund will be available. Full refund shall be the sole limit of all liability of the College of Staten Island, the Office of
Continuing Education, and/or The City University of New York shall not be liable for refund of tuition of any completed courses. A refund form may be obtained from the Office of Continuing Education, and refunds are granted under the following guidelines:

CENTER FOR THE ARTS
The Center houses two academic wings for programs in the arts as well as superb public spaces: the Clara and Arleigh B. Williamson Theatre, a 900-seat concert hall, a recital hall, an experimental theater, lecture halls, an art gallery, and a small conference center.

SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
The Small Business Development Center at CSI offers a certificate program that is designed to provide state-of-the-art information, training, and assistance from a staff of hands-on specialists.
Geared to entrepreneurs and their employees, the program offers the education and training needed to keep abreast of technology and methodology in today's rapidly moving business environment.
Increasing students' insights in competitive advantages and ultimately the productivity and the profitability of their ventures, the program concentrates on the unique problems of companies doing business on Staten Island.

The program is supported by leaders of the business community, economic development, and activist groups, and the Chamber of Commerce, and provides an ongoing process for updating and upgrading the operational acumen of local business owners and managers.
