Institutional Research

As has been reported in recent issues of Fortnight, the 2011 CSI Day of Assessment promises to be an informative day for everyone in academic departments or support offices campus-wide. This free event, scheduled for Friday, April 8, from 9am-4pm will feature presentations that span the operations of the campus.

Dr. Sam Michalowski, CSI's Director of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, will act as the Master of Ceremonies for the day. Spaces at this event are limited by the capacity of the Green Dolphin Lounge, so please RSVP to Lucy Lombardo at 718-982-2085, or via email at
 
Directions to the event:
From Manhattan/Subway/via Staten Island Ferry:
  • Take the 1 train to South Ferry, the W train to Whitehall/South Ferry, or the 5 train to Bowling Green, and walk to the Ferry Terminal.
  • Ride the free Staten Island Ferry across Upper New York Bay (30 minutes).
  • In the Saint George terminal, exit the boat and follow the signs to the CSI shuttle pickup area.
  • Ride the free shuttle to the CSI campus (30 minutes).
  • See the map for a walking route to the Green Dolphin Lounge in Building 1C - The Campus Center.
  • Driving From Brooklyn/Verrazano-Narrows Bridge:
  • Take I-278W across the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge ($13 cash toll this direction) to Exit 10 - Victory Boulevard.
  • Merge onto North Gannon Avenue.
  • Take the first left at the light, onto Victory Boulevard.
  • At the first traffic lights, turn left to enter the campus.
  • Stop at the booth and ask for a parking pass, and directions to Parking Lot 6.

  • Driving From New Jersey:
  • Either take the Goethals Bridge (I-278) to Exit 8 - Victory Boulevard, and merge onto Dr Martin Luther King Expressway/Willowbrook Expressway, or the Bayonne Bridge (both bridges have $8.00 tolls this direction).
  • Take the left exit onto Christopher Lane/Victory Boulevard.
  • If possible, use the center lane at the light, to make a left turn onto Victory Boulevard.
  • Immediately make a right turn at the next light, to enter the campus.
  • Stop at the booth and ask for a parking pass, and directions to Parking Lot 6.
